Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

I SURRENDER CLASS
I Surrender is more than just a class, it's an extraordinary experience that sets itself apart from other Bible Studies for many reasons. For one, we offer a comprehensive set of resources to help women develop healthy habits of prayer, devotional reading, and scripture study. But we do not stop there. We provide tools and a plan to keep women focused and on track. The hallmark of our class is a tool box that includes a host of materials necessary for each week of Surrender, Listening, Renewal, and Direction. Take the journey!
The core curriculum–Surrender, Listening, Renewal, Direction–is anchored and bridged by three import topics to drive home the spirit of surrender.
WEEK 1 - FORGIVENESS
Surrendering often requires forgiveness. It involves freeing yourself from resentment, anger, and hurt caused by past offenses that may have a hold on you.
WEEK 2 - SURRENDER
In demonstrating complete faith and trust in God, we relinquish the grip on power and control over our lives and willingly allow Him to lead us.
WEEK 3 - LISTENING
How do you know when it's God speaking to you? We explore how to discern his voice from others. After you surrender, you can hear Him better.
WEEK 4 - MENTAL WELLNESS
We break from curriculum and talk about what self-care looks like in Christ. Our instructor for the day is a licensed therapist and past class attendee.
WEEK 5 - RENEWAL
Resting your body and mind can make us more effective vessels for Christ. Learn the practical measures to give yourself a break and refresh!
WEEK 6 - DIRECTION
God has a purpose for all of us. Now that we've forgiven, surrendered, listened, restored and refreshed, let's talk about your purpose in life.
WEEK 7 - CLOSING - UNMASKING ACTIVITY
The final exercise of class encourages you to unmask your authentic self. Reflect on your personal growth over the first six weeks and focus on what's next for you.

Founder, The Surrender Life
I believe in God. I am a wife to my sweet man. He does the cooking, I do the laundry. I really adore our date nights. Together, we love on two adult daughters. My parents are my heroes. I live in Dallas-Fort Worth, but Indianapolis, IN will always be home. I love seeing women achieve their spiritual potential. I am a mentor to many.
I'll take The Container Store over Neiman Marcus any day. Organizing is my thing, I like order. Crafting is my happy place. Wednesday is craft day. I love Christmas, rainy Saturdays and the fall season (in that order). Hot tea is delicious. I have a sweet tooth, I like cake. I enjoy the challenge of a good jigsaw puzzle. I find other people's backgrounds fascinating, so I read biographies.
Jazz soothes me. Meditating and spending quiet time with God brings me completely back to center. The bathtub is my thinktank. I prefer low light. Dimmer switches are the best invention. I can work a power drill. I'm a neat freak. I'm firm, but fair. Public speaking is fun to me. I don't color outside the lines. I love the pink and green - my sorority is beautiful. And so are you. I'm happy you stopped by!
